Yep, that's exactly right! If you see that extra entry and you're sure it's the old one, you can go ahead and select it and then click on "Delete" to remove it. Once you do that, just make sure to apply the changes and restart, and you should only see the correct OS option.

Got it! It sounds like the boot loader still has an entry for the old OS. You can usually fix that by using a tool like the Windows boot manager to remove the old entry. One simple way is to boot into your current Windows installation and use the System Configuration tool (msconfig) or the bcdedit command to remove that old boot entry. kay, so one of the weird things I've noticed is, so I reformatted my system a while back and completely reinstalled my operating system, just because I like to do that on a regular just to keep things clean and running as smoothly as possible.
